The method of conductometric titrations employs conductance measurements to determine the end points of various titrations. The method is based on the fact that electrical conductance of a solution depends upon the number and mobility (speed) of the ions present in it and, hence, conductance varies during the course of a titration. Thus, when conductance is plotted against titrant volume, the end point is generally given by the point of intersection between two linear portions of the curve.
